Good questions, straight answers
Pricing and booking
Is there a fee just to come out?
None. Both the visit and the quote come free under our $0 call out fee, and you commit to nothing until the price on paper suits you.
How is a job priced?
Your plumber sizes up the fault and writes down one all-in figure to approve before any tool is unpacked, and that figure never moves once you say yes.
Does a night or weekend job cost more?
It does not, because overtime rates are not part of how we bill, so the hour or day you call makes no difference to the number quoted.
How can I settle the bill?
Card, cash and payment plans all work, and the invoice matches the quoted figure to the cent, with any certificates clipped to it.

Turning up and timing
How soon can someone reach me?
We pick up at any hour and head over quickly, sending whichever van sits closest once we grasp the fault, and we give a straight arrival window on the phone.
Is there really someone there overnight?
Yes, a licensed plumber takes the call through the night and on holidays, since a burst line or a gas smell rarely happens at a tidy time of day.
Which streets do you reach?
Beyond the suburb we serve Mascot, Pagewood, Eastgardens, Banksmeadow and Rosebery, so a crew is seldom more than a short drive from your door.

Licensing and warranty
Are the plumbers properly qualified?
Every one holds licence #275278C and carries full insurance, and the paperwork proving it travels with your invoice rather than waiting to be asked for.
What backs the workmanship?
Our labour is guaranteed for the life of the work, so a fault traced to our own hands is always ours to mend and never yours to fund.
Do I get compliance certificates?
Yes, anything that must be certified is written up and the certificate arrives fixed to your invoice, so your records stay tidy for insurers and buyers alike.

Local plumbing questions
Why do the drains around here clog up?
The sandy beds under these blocks feed fine grit into old pipe joints, and with groundwater sitting shallow it seeps in too once the rain sets in.
Is the coastal air hard on pipework?
It is, since the salt riding the breeze pits bare copper, brass and tank shells quicker than inland, so anything facing the weather wears out ahead of the rest.
What makes the low streets flood?
Sitting low by the water, those streets shed rain slowly, so a real downpour swamps the network and forces it back out through the yard grates and gullies.
Should old gas fittings be updated?
Often, because many older homes still carry the gas connections they were first built around, and lifting those to today's standard during a reno keeps things safe.
Can a hidden leak be traced without a dig?
Generally, since listening gear and thermal imaging narrow it to within a tile, letting us lift one small area rather than trench the whole lawn end to end.

Getting the job done
Must I be home for the work?
Outdoor jobs usually just need the side gate open, while indoor ones need someone in to grant access and sign off on the price before we begin.
Do strata buildings pose a problem?
Not at all. We line up the water shutoff with the building manager, shield the homes underneath from drips, and stay within the approved work area.
What can I do before the plumber lands?
Kill the water at the meter for a leak, step outside and phone for a gas smell, and clear a path to the trouble spot if it is safe to do so.

What we cover
Do you handle emergencies and everyday jobs alike?
Yes, the same licensed team turns out for a two-in-the-morning burst, a dripping tap booked for next week, and everything in between, so one number covers the lot.
What are the usual call-outs near the bay?
Burst flexi hoses under renovated sinks, tired hot water units and drains surcharging after a storm come up most often on the low-lying streets by the shore.
Can you talk a tenant through an emergency?
We can walk a renter through shutting the water or isolating a heater, then bring the owner in and price the repair once someone is able to approve it.
